Children are a gift of God.
I have four.
Garrett, my oldest is 6. He's has being a big brother down to a fine art. He looks like a pro. He's just like me, too. He's diligent, a leader, sharp as a whip, but along with those qualities come defects like a little controlling and a right-fighter. He’s the kind of kid you know you won’t have to worry too much about.
Isabelle is the big sister, and she's almost 5. She's something else. She's soft, sweet, beautiful (which daddy's not real excited about) and so smart. But she has another side to her that is wild, loud and stubborn as a mule. She has a sense of humor all her own, and boy does she think she's funny. She's more like my husband, and frankly I can't quite figure her out.
Abigayle is little sister whose 2 going on 13. She's the darling. She has blue eyes, blonde hair and is as cute as a button, with personality oozing out her ears. She's lively, energetic, friendly, and has this innate joy within her that never subsides. She certainly knows she’s a big sister, though, to baby brother, and does her part to contribute to raising him.
And there’s Gabriel. Our little angel. The funny thing about him is all the siblings think he’s as cute as we do. He turned one year old in March. He’s all boy. He likes it loud, fast, fun, but just like his brother, has a sweet side that just loves his mama. I’m afraid I’ll lose being his favorite to Daddy any day.
As precious as they are, and boy are they, they keep me busy and constantly on my knees. My love for them is three-fold. First, because they are mine, gifts from God just for me (and my husband of course). Second, they were the catalysts God used to bring me back to Himself. Third, they teach me more about who God is, His love for me, and my relationship with Him and others, than anyone else.
My purpose for this blog is to glorify God by sharing the insights He has given me, and the lessons He has taught me through my children. Because everything I am and everything I have is His, I give this back to Him.
